1. Who we are
FaultChecker.ca is operated by [YOUR BUSINESS NAME], located at [YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS], Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at [YOUR EMAIL] or through our contact form. We respond to enquiries within two business days.
By using this website or purchasing a Valuation Review Report, you agree to these terms.
2. What we provide
FaultChecker.ca offers free informational tools and guides about Ontario auto insurance, and a paid Valuation Review Report for vehicle total loss claims.
The Valuation Review Report is a document preparation and evidence organization service. Using information you supply — your vehicle details, your settlement offer, and comparable vehicle listings you locate — it produces a structured report containing market evidence, documented adjustments, a supported valuation range, and guidance material for communicating with your insurer.
The report is generated from the information you enter. We do not inspect your vehicle, obtain independent market data on your behalf, or verify the accuracy of what you input.
3. What we are not
- We are not an insurance company, broker, agent or adjuster. We do not sell insurance or handle claims.
- We are not licensed appraisers. The Valuation Review Report is not a certified appraisal and does not carry the standing of one. If you need a formal appraisal, engage a licensed independent appraiser.
- We are not lawyers or paralegals, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
- We do not represent you in dealings with your insurer. All communication with your insurer is yours to conduct.
4. No guaranteed outcome
We make no representation, promise or guarantee that using our tools or report will result in a higher settlement, any change to your insurer's position, or any particular outcome. Insurers evaluate evidence according to their own criteria, their policy wording and applicable law.
Valuation ranges produced by our tools are estimates derived from the listing data you enter and from general adjustment assumptions. Listings reflect asking prices rather than completed sale prices. Actual market value depends on factors we cannot observe, including vehicle condition, service history, regional demand and the specific terms of your policy.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information. The output is only as reliable as what you enter.
- Review the report before sending anything to your insurer, and satisfy yourself that it reflects your situation.
- Comply with the terms of your own insurance policy, including any obligation to report accidents promptly and to cooperate with your insurer.
- Use the report for your own claim. You may not resell, redistribute or offer our reports as a commercial service to others.
6. Price, payment and delivery
The Valuation Review Report costs $39.00 CAD, charged once, in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Delivery is immediate. On successful payment you are returned to the site and your completed report unlocks in your browser straight away. You can copy it or save it as a PDF. Save or print your report before closing the page — we do not store your report on our servers, so we cannot re-send it later.
Before purchasing you can build your report and view a preview of the analysis at no cost, so you can assess whether it is useful to you before paying.
7. Refunds
See our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Advertising and third parties
Free areas of this site display advertising. We may also refer interested visitors to licensed Ontario insurance brokerages and may be compensated for those referrals; this never costs you anything and only happens if you explicitly request it. Our tools link to third-party marketplaces and use the public NHTSA vehicle database for VIN decoding. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of this site or any report is limited to the amount you paid us, being $39.00 CAD. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any settlement amount you did or did not receive.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
10. Privacy
Information you enter into our calculators stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us unless you submit a form. See our privacy policy for full details.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here at the time of your purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it.
12. Contact
